For those interested in getting caffeinated, there is a new coffee shop in town. Passenger Coffee is located on West King Street, Lancaster, and is a new addition to businesses downtown.

Formerly located in Prince Street’s pop-up park from summer through early winter, Passenger decided to relocate to a more permanent space. Only a few steps away from Central Market, patrons can enjoy coffee and pastries among the calming atmosphere of the shop after shopping.

“We don’t want to compete,” Manager and Barista Cameo said. “We want to focus more on a coffee community.”

According to Cameo, the most popular drink sold is their cappuccino, featuring the espresso of the day and steamed milk. This pairs together a sweet yet strong taste, with the added bonus of the tulip design atop the drink. In addition to this drink, there is an array of products available, ranging from Macchiatos to Chai Teas, along with baked goods piled high in their glass display cases.

Upon visiting the shop, there were three baristas who were informative on the shop’s available products. Dan, an employee at Passenger noted, “The coffee shop rotates through coffees as they pertain to the seasons.” By doing this, the shop is able to work directly with coffee growers and rotate appropriately to seasonal crops.
